To assist in procurement and distribution of various raw materials, whether imported or indigenous allocated by the Government of India or any other agencies for supply to the artisans, craftsmen weaver and producer communities.

To provide structured programs for companies’ CSR activities and individual donors to rise funds to support the artisans and weavers.

Craft Council of Weavers and Artisans

Founded in the year 2020, the Craft Council of Weavers and Artisans (CCWA) is a registered organization under DARPAN NGO and empaneled with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It holds the prestigious 80G and 12AA certifications, reflecting its commitment to transparency and social welfare. The council operates with the guiding philosophy of “By the Artisans, With the Artisans,” ensuring that artisans remain at the heart of every initiative.

INCORPORATION OF CCWA

On 13th July 2020 Craft Council of Weavers and Artisans was incorporated as a Non Profit Organization with its registered office in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is the 1st craft council formed by artisans for artisans and governed by artisans to support each other on the path to technical, artistic, social and financial growth.

DIRECTOR’S OF CRAFTS COUNCIL OF WEAVERS AND ARTISANS

MR. DEEPAK SANKIT

Mr. Deepak Sankit is a master craftsman of meenakari, an extraordinary enamel craft of pink city which is passed down for generation. He was born and brought up in the family of master craftsman, Late Mr. Raj Kumar Sankit.

BRIJ BALLABH UDAIWAL

Me. Brij Ballabh Udaiwal belongs to a family of traditional textile block printers from Sanganer. Sanganer – place which is well known throughout the world for its fine printing with wooden blocks on fabrics. Being a National Award Winner, year 1991(National Award is conferred to the Crafts persons and weavers in recognition of their outstanding contribution, craftsmanship & development of craft)
